Ready to expand your theatre knowledge? This year we are pleased to present to you our very first workshop course focused on hiphop theatre, hosted by Tentacle Tribe. The course takes three days, and is given during our regular workshop days on 20, 21 and 22 August at the Academy for Theatre and Dance.

Tentacle Tribe have been described as one of the leading conceptual hiphop dance groups of the moment. In this three-day workshop, Emmanuelle Lê Phan and Elon Höglund will play and create by converging several influences into a strong and precise dance. They will refine a mix of concepts from breaking, popping and perhaps contemporary dance, which will be the foundation of each choreographic exercise. To go beyond solo and duet form, participants will also dive into Tentacle Tribe’s group work with flow, dynamism and control. Together you will play with the mechanic and the organic in movements to create a sense of illusion and complexity.
