Summer Dance Forever is proud to announce Attitudes, a unique international network in the realm of hip hop dance, aims to contribute to the evolution of the European performing arts landscape.

Spearheaded by six renowned and diverse cultural partners, including CCNRB (FR), Dansekapellet (DK), HOP Festival (ES), Kampnagel (DE), Norrlandsoperan (SE), and Summer Dance Forever (NL), Attitudes invites six promising hip hop dancers and choreographers to create a work for a stage or alternative spaces, bringing together diverse audiences from across Europe. These co-productions are presented in the form of two triple-bills, with the first triple-bill premiering at Kampnagel in Hamburg on October 19th 2024, marking the start of the international tour. On May 10th 2025, the second triple-bill will premiere in Sweden at Norrlandsoperan.

At its core, Attitudes embodies this spirit of collaboration and empowerment that defines hip hop culture. The project aims to support hip hop dance to claim its rightful place within the European performing arts landscape.The dance productions will showcase a variety of forms and styles, including solos, duets, and trios incorporating hip hop, popping, breaking, ballroom and different funk styles alongside elements of African and contemporary dance.

Ibrah Silas Jackson (NL)
From The Netherlands, we have invited Ibrah Silas Jackson to join the project, a director and choreographer from Rotterdam. His foundation in creating lies in hiphop culture, but he also gained more knowledge about different movement disciplines such as contemporary, funk styles and african cultural styles. The core of his work exists of storytelling through visual arts and movements. Ibrah made different short movies and videoclips as director, is a dancer of Ghetto Funk Collective and started choreographing theater pieces in 2021. Recently, Ibrah performed his new piece “Until the Quiet Comes” at Breakin’ Convention Netherlands Tour and participated in Back to the Lab at Breakin’ Convention, where he made a preview of The Hereditary, his piece for the Attitudes project.
