Locking & Waacking Forever are dance competitions held during Summer Dance Forever, featuring the top 24 best dancers from around the world competing in these two dance styles. ‘Locking’ is a style of funk dance in which the dancers ‘freeze’ their movements. ‘Waacking’ is a dance style that originated in the 1970’s gay clubs in California, and is characterized by striking arm movements, poses, and footwork. 

Visitors can enjoy watching the preselections and the thrilling battles, while those who wish to participate must face off against the three judges if they make it to the Top 3. This unique feature sets Summer Dance Forever apart from other dance battles worldwide. Unlike other events where judges assess from a distance behind a desk, at Summer Dance Forever, the judges themselves enter the battle to fight it out on the floor! Despite being renowned international dancers, judges don't always win. Whoever does win the battle gains everlasting glory, wins prize money, and earns the opportunity to judge at a future event.
