Counting down the days to Summer Dance Forever 2018, we’ve compiled a list for you to prepare for the upcoming festival. We are more than excited to welcome you next week, for our most exciting and extensive edition to this date!
1. Tickets and wristbands
During Summer Dance Forever 2018, festival packages and individual tickets for all battles, performances, club nights and workshops, can be purchased at the Paradiso box office – address: Weteringschans 6-8. If you’ve already ordered a festival package, you can pick up your wristband at the festival desk next to the Paradiso.

3. Festival locations
Summer Dance Forever 2018 is spread across seven locations in Amsterdam city centre. The preselections, battles and club nights take place at Paradiso, the theatre performances are at Stadsschouwburg Amsterdam, DeLaMar Theater and OBA Theater, the workshops at the Academy for Theater and Dance, and there is even more to do at the Vondelpark Openluchttheater and Melkweg.

4. Get discount on renting a bike
Did you know that Amsterdam is called the world capital of bicycles? Tip: move more freely around town with a bike during Summer Dance Forever (and be careful in the traffic).
At the festival desk you can get a free coupon that gives 10% discount on renting a bike at MacBike. The closest MacBike rental point is next to Paradiso – address: Weteringschans 2.
5. Free cloakroom and lockers for bags at Paradiso
At Paradiso, it is required to use the cloakroom or lockers for your bag(s). Both are free of charge for your convenience – if we keep the bags out of the way, there is more space to dance!
Due to limited storage space, we are unable to accept items larger than hand luggage (maximum 55 x 35 x 25 cm).
6. Visit the ongoing Dance of the City Warriors installation
From 14 until 19 August, Compagnie par Terre’s Anne Nguyen invites you to take part in her interactive installation Dance of the City Warriors. During Summer Dance Forever, Dance of the city warriors will consist of four installations that let the audience experience tuts, flow, freestyle and jam. Making use of tools such as live motion capture, animation and virtual reality, we are able to experience the dance for ourselves. For example, by responding to video images, sounds and music, manipulating our own images and improvising with our own moves.
